PORTSMOUTH, Va. — A 17-year-old boy was hospitalized Monday after he was shot in Portsmouth, the police department has confirmed.
According to the Portsmouth Police Department, the teenager was found with a gunshot wound in the 4100 block of Cedar Lane. They were notified around 3:30 p.m.
PPD has identified a vehicle they say was involved in the shooting. It's a Blue 2019 GMC Yukon, that was first seen parked in front of 4211 Cedar Lane. Police said the car drove off in an unknown direction after the shooting.
