PORTSMOUTH, Va. — Portsmouth Police are investigating two shooting incidents that happened within a few hours of each other.
Around 11 p.m. Tuesday, police said a man with a gunshot wound to the torso walked into a hospital. The victim told officers that he was shot in the 3800 block of George Washington Highway.
The man's injuries are not considered life-threatening.
Police were alerted to another shooting incident just before 1 a.m. Wednesday.
A man with a gunshot wound to the torso was trying to drive himself to the hospital when he crashed his vehicle into the Children's Museum of Virginia on High Street. However, he told police that he was shot near the 700 block of King Street.
His injuries aren't serious either, according to police.
The museum's window was shattered and had to be boarded up.
No other details have been released at this time about either shooting, including suspect information.
