PORTSMOUTH, Va. — Portsmouth police are investigating a Wednesday evening homicide, according to a press release.
Officers responded to a call regarding an unresponsive person lying at the intersection of Prentis Avenue and Race Street around 10:03 p.m.
When they arrived, they found 32-year-old Anthony Lamont Jones suffering from a gunshot wound. Medics pronounced him dead at the scene.
