PORTSMOUTH, Va. — Investigators with the Portsmouth Police Department Major Crimes Unit are searching for more information regarding the 2023 homicide of a 17-year-old boy.
At 8:37 p.m. on February 11, 2023, police responded to a call for a gunshot wound in the 4000 block of Cedar Lane.
When officers arrived, they found a teenager – later identified as Norfolk resident Jordan Harris Snipes – with a fatal gunshot wound.
According to police, Snipes was attending a party in the area.
Homicide investigators said witnesses they spoke with were unable to provide them with suspect descriptions. However, they described two vehicles believed to be involved in the "drive-by" shooting as one dark-colored sedan and one light-colored sedan.
