PORTSMOUTH, Va. — Portsmouth police and sheriff's office vehicles blocked off the entrance to the city courthouse after a bomb threat Tuesday morning.
As of 9:38 a.m., the courthouse was reopened.
Lt. Col. Marvin Waters with the Portsmouth Sheriff’s Office confirmed the bomb threat via email.
Before the courthouse opened, police vehicles could be seen at the scene blocking the area of the Portsmouth Judicial Center on Court Street.
