PORTSMOUTH, Va. — Four people have been displaced after a house fire in Portsmouth early Thursday morning.
Portsmouth Fire Rescue and Emergency Services say they responded to the 3400 block of Arlington Place around 3:35 a.m. for a report of a fire.
When firefighters arrived they saw residents evacuating the home and starting working fire protocol. An interior attack was completed while other firefighters searched the home thoroughly. The fire was marked under control by 3:47 a.m.
The Portsmouth Fire Marshal's Office ruled the fire as accidental.
Four adults were evaluated by EMS and will be staying with family in the area. No residents or firefighters were injured.
