PORTSMOUTH, Va. — Another murder case ended in acquittal in Portsmouth after a jury handed down a not-guilty verdict to Tayvon Black Thursday afternoon.
He’s one of two men charged with the shooting death of Daquan Jordan in September 2020. Police also charged Carlton Sherrod Jr. in connection to the shooting.
He was charged with accessory after the fact to murder and removal of evidence among other non-violent charges. No word yet on the status of his case.
This verdict comes just five days after a jury found Raymond Gore not guilty in a 2022 quadruple murder on Maple Drive.
