Portsmouth Police search is over for missing man

Michael Carter, 64, was last seen Tuesday afternoon.

PORTSMOUTH, Va. — Police in Portsmouth announced on Wednesday that they have located a missing man.

On Tuesday the Portsmouth Police Department notified the community that 64-year-old Michael Carter was missing.

Carter was last seen around 2 p.m. Tuesday in the 200 block of Goldenstar Lane. At the time, he was wearing a gray button-up shirt with a black undershirt, dark blue jeans, black shoes, glasses, and a gold chain. 

According to a Portsmouth Police Department press release, Carter may have been suffering from behavioral health complications at the time of his disappearance.

Although it was announced Crater was found, authorities have not said what exactly his condition was at the time he was located.
