PORTSMOUTH, Va. — A man has been shot in Portsmouth early Monday, police say.
Portsmouth police say that they responded to a shooting that happened near the 2900 block of Turnpike Road off Route 17 Frederick Boulevard just after 1:15 a.m.
When officers arrived they found a man with a gunshot wound. He was taken to the hospital for treatment.
Police did not release the condition of the victim or any suspect information.
