PORTSMOUTH, Va. — A man was injured in a shooting in Portsmouth Sunday afternoon, police said.
The Portsmouth Police Department said, shortly after 3:15 p.m., dispatchers received a call from a man stating that he shot a man who tried to rob and shoot him at 3500 Victory Boulevard.
When officers arrived, they found a man with a gunshot wound to the lower extremities. Medics responded and took the man to a hospital with injuries that weren't considered life-threatening.
Police have not released any more details on the incident.
