Shooting in Portsmouth sends man to hospital, police say

PORTSMOUTH, Va. — A person walked into the hospital after a shooting in Portsmouth, police say.

Portsmouth police say that around 12:35 a.m., officers responded to the 2900 block of Berkley Avenue for a report of gunshots being fired.

Shortly after they responded to a hospital for a walk-in gunshot wound. Police found the man who was being treated for a gunshot wound.

They did not release any other details or suspect information.
