PORTSMOUTH, Va. — A man is recovering in the hospital following a shooting in Portsmouth Wednesday morning.
Portsmouth Police said they responded to a call for a shooting in the 300 block of Effingham Street around 10:55 a.m.
When they arrived, officers found a man suffering from a gunshot wound. He was then transported to a local hospital for treatment.
