PORTSMOUTH, Va. — A woman has died after a shooting in Portsmouth Tuesday evening, says police.
The Portsmouth Police responded to a shooting involving a vehicle crash at the intersection of Portsmouth Boulevard and Wall Street around 6:45 p.m.
Police found a woman unresponsive, suffering from life-threatening injuries. Responders immediately began life-saving measures.
Initial communication stated the victim was a man. Detectives later identified the victim as 30-year-old Yolanda Jackson. Jackson was taken to the hospital where she succumbed to her injuries and was pronounced dead.
Portsmouth police are now searching for Jordan Shaquille Hargrove, 30. He may be driving a gray Honda Crossover Virginia License plate TRV-9877.
