PORTSMOUTH, Va. (WVEC) -- A man could spend the rest of his life behind bars for murdering his cousin in Portsmouth.
A jury found Rufus Dillard guilty of killing Terrance Johnson. Dillard shot Johnson eight times on Suburban Parkway last year. Dillard admitted to the murder while behind bars.
The jury recommended a life sentence, plus 13 years.
A judge will rule on that recommendation in August.
