PORTSMOUTH, Va. (WVEC) -- Portsmouth Police give an 'all-clear' after Churchland High School was placed on a lockdown due to a report of a gun on campus.
Cherise Newsome with the Portsmouth Public Schools tells 13News Now that officials received a report of a gun on Tuesday morning.
A robocall alerted the parents to the situation at 9:45 a.m.
Misty Holley, the spokesperson for the Portsmouth Police Department, says officers did not find the weapon during their search. Although officers did find a bb gun in the wooded area near the school.
