PORTSMOUTH, Va. — Portsmouth police say two men were injured in a shooting early Saturday morning.
Emergency dispatchers got a call about the shooting around 12:30 a.m., according to a release from the Portsmouth Police Department.
Officers went out to the 2100 block of High Street, where the shooting had been reported, and found two men who had been shot.
Both men were taken to local hospitals for treatment of their gunshot wounds, police said.
A police spokeswoman said there is an ongoing criminal investigation into the shooting and the department has no additional details to share at this time.
