PORTSMOUTH, Va. — A local nonprofit is hosting a fun-filled event for kids that lasts for an entire week in Portsmouth.
From April 1 through 5, A Purpose Driven is hosting activities and sports to keep kids active, entertained, and educated.
The camp will feature activities daily focusing on art therapy, STEM, crisis management, D.A.R.E., and more from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. with the Portsmouth Police Athletic League.
From 5 to 7 p.m., they will host a sports camp with tennis, softball, cheerleading, football, soccer, and more.
The camp, located at the Cavalier Manor Recreation Center, also provides lunch for the kids. It's free and open to Portsmouth residents, but there are only 60 slots so sign up.
Then at the end of the camp, they will hold a Day of Peace with food, games, fun, and kids karaoke on Saturday from 12 to 6 p.m.
