PORTSMOUTH, Va. — UPDATE: On Friday morning, police said Malia Miller was found safe.
The Portsmouth Police Department is looking for a 12-year-old girl who went missing Thursday afternoon.
Malia Jada Miller was last seen leaving Waters Middle School at 4 p.m. and was wearing a beige hoodie, black pants, and green and white shoes. Police described her as being around five and a half feet tall and weighing 140 pounds.
Anyone with information about where Miller is located is asked to contact the Portsmouth Police Department Special Victims Unit at 757-393-5300.
People can also submit a tip by calling 1-888-562-5887 or using P3 Tips online.
People don't have to give their names or testify in court. If a tip leads to an arrest or the recovery of drugs or stolen property, the person could get a cash reward of up to $1,000.
