NORFOLK, Va. (WVEC) -- A woman died Thursday morning after someone attacked her Wednesday. Police said her accused attacker faces a murder charge as a result.
Emergency dispatchers received a call about an assault Wednesday shortly before 3:20 a.m. When officers arrived at a home in the 5400 block of Cape Henry Dr., they found 36-year-old Melissa Yuhas unconscious outside of the home. Medics took Yuhas to Sentara Norfolk General Hospital where she died a day later.
Detectives arrested Robert Anthony Colon, 34, and charged him with 2nd Degree Murder. Colon was at Norfolk City Jail Thursday afternoon with no bond set.
