Host Mark Walberg ready for 'Wheel of Fortune Live' in Norfolk

Veteran game show host Mark Walberg says the show will be a lot like the show on TV but even non-players can win.

NORFOLK, Va. — Mark Walberg is familiar with the city of Norfolk. After all, his son is a Navy pilot and lives in the city.

That gives Walberg two reasons to come to Hampton Roads this weekend, the other being to host Wheel of Fortune Live at Chrysler Hall. And he's excited.

"I've been hosting game shows my whole career but Wheel of Fortune is America's game. I'm a wheel watcher just like most of America," Walberg told 13News Now.

The popular game will come alive on stage Friday night. Ticket holders will also register as guests and will be picked from the audience randomly to play the game.

There will be a full-sized replica of the iconic wheel for players to spin.

"Even if you don't play, you're going to have a chance to win. Even the grand bonus prize at the end, if the player on stage wins, someone in the audience wins the exact same thing," Walberg explained.

Walberg currently hosts the reality TV show "Temptation Island" on the USA Network and Peacock. He is best known as the longtime host of "Antiques Roadshow," PBS’ highest-rated primetime original program.

Walberg will be joined on stage by Daisy Wang, to serve in the role as the TV version's Vanna White.

Tickets are still available for the show on Friday at 7 p.m. 13News Now is a proud sponsor.
