Dominion Energy working to fix power outages in Norfolk, Suffolk

Almost 4,500 customers in Norfolk and 2,500 customers in Suffolk lost power.

NORFOLK, Va. — Storms across Hampton Roads caused power outages for thousands of people on Saturday, according to Dominion Energy.

Almost 4,500 customers in Norfolk and 2,500 customers in Suffolk lost power. This was due to lightning strikes to equipment in the Norfolk area and tree limbs falling on power lines in the Suffolk area.

Power has been restored to most of those customers except about 90 in Suffolk and 15 in Norfolk. Dominion Energy crews are still working on the outages.

Customers can check the status of the repairs using the outage map in the Dominion Energy app or at dominionenergy.com.
