NORFOLK, Va. (WVEC) -- Get ready to discover gold bars, silver coins, and other pirate artifacts!
The "Shipwreck! Pirates and Treasure" exhibit is officially open at Nauticus.
The exhibit is on display at the Decker Half Moone Center and is included in regular Nauticus admission.
Presented by Monaco Rare Coins, the interactive gallery showcases more than 500 authentic shipwreck artifacts, including 80-pound silver bars from the SS Gairsoppa, decorative porcelain figurines, personal items, and a 300-year-old logarithmic calculator on a folding rule -- the oldest ever recovered on a shipwreck site!
The exhibit will be on display through September 3. For more information, visit Nauticus' website.
