NORFOLK, Va. (WVEC) -- No one was injured following an accident involving a Norfolk school bus on Tuesday morning.
Norfolk police say that at around 7:40 a.m., an SUV ran a red light at West Little Creek Road and Armfield Avenue as the school bus was passing through the intersection. The SUV swerved to avoid a collision, but sideswiped and hit a side mirror of the bus.
Three children were on board the bus at the time, but were unhurt.
Police say the driver of the SUV was issued a summons for disregarding the red light.
