NORFOLK, Va. — People are without a home after a fire in Norfolk Tuesday night, the Norfolk Fire-Rescue Battalion Chief stated in a press release.
Crews responded to a residential structure fire reported at 6:31 p.m. in the 8000 block of Simons Drive.
When they arrived, they found a fire ravaging the inside and outside of the home.
The fire was eventually contained about 20 minutes later, and no civilians or firefighters were reported to have been injured.
Crews said the occupants of the home will be displaced, but it is still unknown how many people actually lived there.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
