NORFOLK, Va. — A pedestrian was killed in a crash on North Military Highway late Friday night, the Norfolk Police Department announced Saturday.
Officers were called to the highway near Poplar Hall Drive at around 10:50 p.m. Once at the scene, officers found a man who was seriously wounded.
The man, who has not been publicly identified at this time, was taken to a hospital where he succumbed to his injuries.
Police said the involved driver stayed at the scene. They were not injured in the incident.
The investigation is ongoing, however, Norfolk police say it does not appear speed or alcohol contributed to the crash.
No other information was immediately released.
