NORFOLK, Va. — A 67-year-old man died after being hit by a vehicle in Norfolk Thursday night.
Norfolk police say that they received a call reporting the incident around 8:45 p.m. Thursday. The crash involving a pedestrian happened in the 100 block of South Newtown Road near the Hampton Roads Beltway.
The victim was taken to the hospital with life-threatening injuries, but he later died. He was identified as John H. Rabon III of Virginia Beach.
The driver involved stayed where the crash happened. The Norfolk Police Department is investigating the crash.
