NORFOLK, Va. — A Norfolk firefighter is recovering after getting hurt trying to put out a two-story house fire.
Emergency dispatch said the fire was first reported just before 7 p.m. in the 700 block of Marshall Avenue.
Norfolk Fire Rescue said the firefighter had minor injuries. No one else was hurt, but five people now need to find a new place to live. The Red Cross is assisting them.
The cause of the fire is currently under investigation.
