NORFOLK, Va. — A man has been arrested after a credit union robbery in Norfolk on Monday evening.
Norfolk police say that on Monday around 4:30 p.m., police were dispatched to the Langley Federal Credit Union on 7420 Granby Street for the report of an alarm call.
When police arrived they learned that a person had come to the credit union and demanded money from a teller. Officers were able to locate a suspect not far from the credit union and after a foot chase the man was taken into custody.
After investigating, detectives charged 22-year-old Anton D. Williams Jr. with robbery, conspiracy, possession of a firearm by a felon, possession of ammunition by a felon, and resisting arrest.
He is being held without bond at Norfolk City Jail.
