NORFOLK, Va. — A 3-year-old who was found in a swimming pool on Sunday has died, the Norfolk Police Department said.
The investigation began when officers responded to the 1800 block of Brookwood Road for a reported unresponsive child in a pool shortly before 1 p.m.
According to police, medics took the child to the Children's Hospital of The King's Daughters (CHKD), where they were pronounced dead because of their injuries.
Norfolk police said the child's death is being investigated as undetermined.
