WASHINGTON, DC -- The head of Mo' Money testified before a Congressional committee on Thursday.
Back in February, police shut down the Mo' Money tax service in Norfolk. The case was turned over to the feds after complaints Mo' Money did not give tax refunds due to their customers.
In April, IRS criminal investigators seized property from the business, and shortly after, many of the tax preparer businesses throughout the Southeast were forced to close their doors.
CEO Markey Granberry testified Thursday on the alleged wrongdoings.
Khaya Blake is one of the customers who's still frustrated and angry. She was expecting about $6,000 but feels the hearing will do little to get her money back.
'They took my money like they took everybody else's money,' Blake said. 'Yeah, they took everything.'
