NORFOLK, Va. (WVEC) — Hundreds of Title One Norfolk Public School students will have a holiday afternoon to remember Tuesday.

Pat Manley-Smith, owner of Sweet Jam Cafe in Norfolk and CEO of the Jake & Audrey Maley Foundation, is providing an afternoon at Dickens' Christmas Towne to Norfolk Public School students. The students range from pre-k to age 12 and were selected from schools across Norfolk.

Manley-Smith is providing lunch for the children and winter wear and school supplies that she collected for the students to take home.

"I originally did these special days with Chesapeake students since my first restaurant was there," said Manley Smith. "Sweet Jam Cafe has been open in Norfolk for a year now, so I wanted to give back to this community as well."

While at Dickens' Christmas Towne, students will enjoy a reading of A Christmas Carol by a representative from Slover Library and a magic show by a Dickens' performer.
