NORFOLK, Va. — No one was hurt but one person was displaced following an early-morning house fire in Norfolk on Wednesday morning, Norfolk Fire-Rescue said.
Crews were called to the 900 block of South Quail Street just before 2 a.m. They arrived to find heavy smoke and flames coming from a single-family house.
Following an aggressive interior attack on the blaze, firefighters said the fire was brought under control at 2:42 a.m.
One adult who was living there now needs a place to stay. The Red Cross is assisting the displaced resident.
The cause of the fire remains under investigation at this time.
