NORFOLK, Va. — Norfolk police are investigating a crash that left a driver dead on Wednesday morning.
The Norfolk Police Department said the crash happened at the intersection of Virginia Beach Boulevard and Ingleside Road, which is not far from Ingleside Elementary School.
Officers responded around 6:30 a.m. after a report of a car that had hit a flatbed truck that was stopped at a traffic signal.
The driver, 50-year-old Shawn Comparto, was pronounced dead at the scene.
Police didn't share any further information.
