Suspect in deadly Norfolk tunnel crash had 3 times the legal blood alcohol limit, court documents say

NORFOLK, Va. — Newly filed court documents are revealing the criminal history and alleged blood alcohol content of the suspect in a wrong-way Downtown Tunnel crash in Norfolk.

27-year-old Dominique Goodwin of Chesapeake is accused of killing another driver, Shelby "Lexus" Walker on Dec. 30.

State troopers had searched for Goodwin to service an arrest warrant since Jan. 3. Goodwin turned herself in to Norfolk police on Monday.

According to court documents, Goodwin is held without bail partly because she drove the wrong way and with three times the legal blood alcohol count limit.

Documents also say Goodwin is a convicted felon, previously found guilty on charges like child abuse and making a false statement on a firearm form.

She hired her own attorney and is due back in court for a bond hearing on Wednesday.
