Country band 'Old Dominion' films music video on USS Gerald R. Ford

The country band Old Dominion stopped by for a concert on board the USS Gerald R. Ford and filmed a music video while there.

NORFOLK, Va. — Sailors at Naval Station Norfolk were treated to a special performance on Tuesday night!

The country band Old Dominion stopped by for a concert on board the USS Gerald R. Ford and filmed a music video there.

The band members are Virginia natives, which is how they came up with the band's name.

"They all have roots to Virginia and that's the origin of their name, Old Dominion, as a nod to that and I think they wanted to give back to our sailors," Rick Burgess, the USS Gerald R Ford Commander said.

Navy MWR Entertainment hosts dozens of concerts for sailors.

"We're here to provide morale, welfare and recreation opportunities for our sailors and their families and just really provide an opportunity to build a sense of community," a Navy MWR Entertainment organizer said.
