City of Norfolk seeks input on electric vehicle use and charging

Norfolk residents and business owners are being asked to participate in a survey on electric car use and charging.

NORFOLK, Va. — The City of Norfolk is asking for input on electric vehicles.

Norfolk residents and business owners are asked to participate in a brief survey. The survey gauges interest in electric cars and preferences for where charging stations might be installed in the future.

The survey will be used to plan and prepare infrastructure that supports more electric vehicles on the road.

Survey responses will be included in Norfolk’s EV Infrastructure Deployment Study conducted by Norfolk’s Environmental Sustainability division with a consulting firm, The Cadmus Group.

According to the Kelley Blue Book, a record 1.2 million vehicle buyers chose to go electric in 2023.

The survey is available on the City of Norfolk's website. It is available for comment until July 1.
