NORFOLK, Va. — Booker T. Washington High School was briefly placed on lockdown for a bomb threat Thursday morning, police said.
A spokesperson for the Norfolk Police Department said that around 9:30 a.m., officers were dispatched to the high school near downtown Norfolk for a report of a possible bomb threat.
The school was placed on lockdown during the investigation, in which nothing was found during a search of the building. Booker T. Washington High School was then returned to normal operations after police cleared the school.
There were no other details released about the incident and no suspect information has been released.
