NORFOLK, Va. — Norfolk Police say officers are investigating the robbery of an armored truck.
Police say the robbery happened around 11 a.m. in the 7600 block of Granby Street. They said a man in a motorcycle helmet robbed the vehicle at gunpoint.
The robber approached a Brink’s truck and demanded cash from the driver who got out of the vehicle to enter into the Soap-N-Suds located at 7629 Granby Street.
Police said the guard complied with the suspect's demands.
The robber was last seen wearing a black motorcycle helmet, a black sweatshirt, and blue jeans. He was able to get away before officers arrived on the scene.
