AMBER Alert canceled: Baby girl found safe after police say she had been abducted in Norfolk

Police say Delysia Solei-Promise Jones has been found safe and an AMBER Alert for her has been canceled.

NORFOLK, Va. — Virginia State Police have canceled an AMBER Alert for an infant girl who authorities said had been abducted Sunday morning in Norfolk.

Delysia Solei-Promise Jones, a 7-month-old girl, has been found safe, according to a State Police release around 1:45 p.m.

In an earlier release Sunday, police said Jones had been abducted around 7:30 a.m. on Washington Avenue by 35-year-old Delsean Marquee Mickle. Authorities believed the child was "in extreme danger" at the time.

Mickle is now in police custody, State Police have confirmed.

According to a Norfolk Police Department release, Mickle "is known to the infant." However, police have not specified what the relationship is between the two.

Police have also not released any details about the circumstances of the reported abduction or if any charges will be filed in this case.
