NORFOLK, Va. — Five people and two pets have been displaced after a fire early Thursday morning, Norfolk Fire-Rescue said.
Crews responded to a house fire in the 6100 block of Myrtle Park around 2:31 a.m. When firefighters arrived, they found flames coming from the front of the house.
Firefighters extinguished the fire and it was under control at 2:46 a.m.
No one was injured. The five people and two pets who were displaced are receiving assistance from the Red Cross.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
