NORFOLK, Va. — The Navy has provided access to 24-hour gyms for sailors across the Navy Region Mid-Atlantic as part of a new health initiative.

This new health initiative aims to provide flexibility for sailors to exercise regardless of their shift schedules, daily routines, or duty rotations.

“The Navy is committed to ensuring our sailors have the resources they need to maintain their physical fitness and overall well-being," said Rear Admiral Lahti, Commander, Navy Region Mid-Atlantic. "By offering 24-hour gym access, we’re providing flexibility for those who serve around the clock, reinforcing our commitment to their health and readiness. This initiative is a direct response to our Sailors’ needs and is another step in improving their quality of life on- and off-duty."

To register for the 24-hour gym access, sailors must visit their local gym.
