NORFOLK, Va. — A teenager has died following a crash on Wednesday night in Norfolk, police say.
Around 9:45 p.m., Norfolk police say they responded to the intersection of East Princess Anne Road and Ballentine Boulevard for a report of an accident involving a bicyclist.
When first responders got to the scene they found a 14-year-old boy with life-threatening injuries.
The teenager was taken to the hospital for treatment, he later died on Thursday.
The driver of the car stayed at the scene and no other injuries were reported.
The investigation is ongoing and being handled by the Norfolk Police Department's Auto Squad Unit.
Police did not say if charges are pending.
