NORFOLK, Va. — One person was displaced after an interior fire inside a home in Norfolk on Sunday morning.
According to Norfolk Fire-Rescue (FR), crews responded to a report of a residential structure fire at 4711 Krick Street at 10:53 a.m.
When firefighters arrived, they determined the fire originated from the second floor or attic space.
At 11:11 a.m. crews said they were able to get the fire under control and extinguish the blaze. NFR reports no one was injured and all pets were removed safely, however, the home's occupant is being assisted by the Red Cross, at this time.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
