NORFOLK, Va. — One person was injured and two people have been displaced after a fire Thursday morning, Norfolk Fire Rescue said.
Crews responded to a house fire at 1515 E Indian River Road around 7:49 a.m. When firefighters arrived, they found heavy smoke coming from the house and a resident carrying a person out of the house.
Officials said the fire was under control at 8:09 a.m.
One resident was injured and taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. Two people have been displaced by the fire.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
