NEWPORT NEWS, Va. (WVEC) -- Police are investigating after they said a woman was found dead at City Center on Friday.
Authorities said they responded to the call around 4:31 p.m. on Dec. 8 for a report of a person lying on the sidewalk behind the Marriott at City Center near the parking garage.
First responders found a woman they said may be a 51-year-old from Williamsburg on the ground with visible injuries, not breathing.
She was pronounced dead at the scene.
An investigation is ongoing, but officials told 13News Now it appears the woman fell or jumped from the parking garage.
