NEWPORT NEWS, Va. — According to VDOT, a vehicle fire was causing major delays on the James River Bridge (JRB) Thursday morning.
VDOT said all north and south lanes on the JRB Route 17 were closed due to a vehicle fire. Traffic appears to be flowing as of 9:00 a.m.
Virginia State Police says that the fire happened around 7:50 a.m. on a southbound lane and a dump truck caught fire.
