PORTSMOUTH, Va. — A woman was taken to the hospital after a shooting in Portsmouth.
Portsmouth police say that they received a 911 call for a gunshot wound near Westmoreland Avenue and Valhalla Drive soon after 2:00 a.m.
When officers arrived at the scene in the 4700 block of Race Street, they found a woman with an injury to the ear. Medics took the victim to the hospital to treat her non-life-threatening injury.
