NEWPORT NEWS, Va. — The Newport News Police Department was on the scene of a shooting Wednesday morning.
According to dispatch, police received a call at 4:43 a.m. to respond to the 700 block of Adams Drive.
That's right down the street from the Newport News Police Department.
When they arrived, they found a 32-year-old man who was hurt.
Police said his injuries didn't seem to be life-threatening when medics took him to a hospital.
Officials said the shooting appeared to be domestic, and they'd identified a suspect. The police department didn't share that person's name.
There are charges pending against the shooting suspect.
