Police searching for Newport News Pizza Hut robbers

Police are working to locate two men who held up a Newport News Pizza Hut restaurant over the weekend.

NEWPORT NEWS, Va. (WVEC) -- Police are working to locate two men who held up a Newport News Pizza Hut restaurant in a weekend robbery.

Officers were called to the Pizza Hut located in the 13000 block of Warwick Blvd. around 7:25 p.m. on Saturday, Jan. 23.

Restaurant employees told responding officers that two armed males entered the business and demanded that one of the employees open the register.

The men fled the scene with cash, but no customers or employees were injured during the incident.

Police describe the first suspect as a black male with dark skin, who is in between 5'10" and 5'11" and has a slim build and was armed with a small frame revolver. Employees told police he was wearing a blue sweater with stars on it with his face covered up to his nose.

The second suspect is described as a black male with a light complexion who had ear length dreadlocks and is about 5'9" or 5"10 with a slim build. He was wearing a green coat with a gray hoodie underneath and was armed with a long barrel silver-colored revolver at the time of the robbery.
