NEWPORT NEWS, Va. (WVEC) -- Police are investigating after a man was shot multiple times in Newport News Monday.
According to preliminary information, the 22-year-old victim was standing near 18th Street and Ivy Avenue around noon when he was approached by a man and shot.
The 22-year-old victim was transported to the hospital. His condition is unknown.
No suspect information has been released.
